Case Studies

The attached case studies on international E-commerce were developed by the International Business Resource Connection with grant funding from the Business and International Education program, U.S. Department of Education. All are based on actual companies operating in the Midwest. *

The cases are meant to serve as tutorials providing information about the fundamentals and nuances of running E-commerce businesses that have international clients. More detailed explanations about each case can be obtained by clicking on the embedded links.

The WebFirm case focuses on a large bank-based supplier organization; FlightSchedulePro.com describes an Internet-based scheduling system for the aviation industry; and Chasetoys.com is a small E-commerce firm started by a local high school student. The cases represent a wide range of international E-commerce possibilities.
